Queen's Jubilee

If you missed the Silverlake Jubilee last weekend, there's another jubilee this weekend across the pond. It's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this weekend! If you don't know what that means, it's the celebration of 60 years of the Queens reign. What does this mean for us English? It means the country is donned with union jacks, spirits (alcoholic kind) are high, street parties and a 1000 boat procession down the Thames on Sunday!

English Summer

Hello sunshine! When you live in a country that's known for its dismal weather it's not surprising that everyone gets rather excited when the sun shows up. The weather this week has been glorious! The minute the sun came out the whole of London donned flip flops and every inch of grass in every park was populated by sunbathers and picnickers! We all know this could be the only bit of summer we get this year, so best make the most of it! If it was sunny all the time it wouldn't be as appreciated as it is here! I daren't moan about the heat for fear it might retreat!

Stock up on ice lollies and dust off the barbie! An English summer is the b*****ks!

English Nosh 'Aint So Bad

Many people say that English food is rubbish. But it's definitely the best hangover food! For a Nation built around drinking culture, what do you expect! I enjoy me fry up and roast dinner on Sundays that's for sure!

Posh that fried egg up with a bit of shaved truffle innit!

Nothing beats a good roast beef with sausage and sage stuffing. (I still need to crack the gluten free Yorkshire pudding recipe though...)
